There can be no meaningful landscape without ecology

I'm Sonali Dahotre, a landscape architect based in Pune, India. For nearly two decades, my work has sprung from the belief that there can be no meaningful landscape without ecology. I am fascinated by the relationships that occur in nature and explore how landscape design can become inseparable from the patterns that already exist in nature, rather than being imposed upon it—creating places that continue to support ecosystems long after the project is complete.

Resisting the urge to design is, sometimes, a design decision in itself
